Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Items that are upgraded are components that can be slotted into weapons, armor and trinkets to give an additional benefit. They are usually more expensive and require that the item be at a certain rank.

Glyphs
After reaching level 50 in Diablo 4, Blizzard's action-RPG takes a turn from its simple campaign to the endgame. The Glyphs panel lets you insert glyphs into your text by selecting them from the menu on the left side of the screen. The Glyphs panel shows glyphs based on the font that your cursor is located. When you move your cursor over any glyph, you'll be able to see its CID/GID and Unicode value in a tooltip.
After you've entered several glyphs after which the Glyphs panel will keep the track of the last 35 glyphs you've used, and will make them available under the category of Recently Used on the first row of the panel (you must expand the panel to view all 35). You can also remove the glyph from the list by clicking on it using the right-click or Control-click, and then selecting Remove from Recent Glyphs.

A custom glyph set can comprise the maximum number of glyphs, 31 that include the base name as well as its suffix. The base name must include uppercase English alphabetic letters (A-Z) and lowercase English alphabetic letters (a-z), European numbers (0-9) and underscore (_) and other glyphs. Reroll Tokens

Rerolling an item costs 1 token. It will reset the upgrades, but keep the set, rarity and level unaffected. When an item is leveled up, its tier increases. The primary stat of the item is increased by 3 points for each tier. A random extra stat will be increased along with it. The rank of an item rises by 1 each time you level an item to the highest achievable level.
The Blueprint Desk allows players to buy new Appliances, Ingredients and decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints appear in envelopes at the beginning of each preparation phase. They can be opened with the Grab. Each blueprint comes with its own icon, and each type of upgradeable item displays an icon that is distinct from the others:
Certain recipes require the use of certain Appliances or Ingredients which are available by selecting the Franchise Card from the Blueprint Desk. Certain appliances and inputs are staples, which means that they won't be sold in the Shop or on rerolls while others have a greater chance of being available when a specific franchise card is selected at the Blueprint Desk. The Staple Pool is where all items will remain for the duration of the game. The same goes for non-staple equipment. transferred to the Seed Pool when it is purchased from the Blueprint Desk.
Recycled Items
The third "R," recycle, is where the magic happens. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product that is made of recycled materials. Most recycled items are returned to the manufacturer from which they came to be remade into an entirely new item. We refer to this as "closing of the loop of recycling."
When a person puts something into their curbside recycling bin it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is separated and sorted into its different components. Then, it can be sold to end-user manufacturers to make something completely new. Remade products include:
This process reduces the necessity to harvest, cultivate or extract raw materials to make something other than. This reduces the amount of damage that is caused to the natural environment as fewer trees are removed, rivers diverted and wild animals displaced. It also reduces the amount of pollution created by the dumping of raw materials into our water, soil and air.
In addition buying recycled products can help keep local businesses and jobs alive, especially those who specialize in manufacturing products using recycled materials. The demand for recycled items makes companies more inclined to take part in this eco-friendly initiative.
Another reason to buy recycled items is that they require less energy to produce new items using recycled materials than it does to create them out of raw materials. The process of making the new aluminum container requires 95% more energy than the manufacturing of an aluminum can made from recycled material. This is why every bit counts.
Leveling
Most units can level up which grants them additional XP each time they fight or are attacked. This XP is used to unlock upgrades, or increase the primary stat of the unit. Weapons are a good example of this, since they can be upgraded to increase their damage and range.
Most leveling systems have a minimum amount of levels to be reached, but this can vary from game-to-game. Leveling is done by using coins or resources. Most systems use both, but some only employ one.
The issue of leveling can be a challenge in a lot of games due to the fact that it makes some units too powerful, while other units aren't able to be competitive with them. It is recommended to limit the amount of leveling a player can do, requiring them to make a choice about what they want to upgrade and the reason for it.
